It's been 4 years. It ended like the way it started off, or even better. From the dreadful trainings to the "i-don't-wanna-leave"s. We've come such a long way, made friends, broke the rules, got into fights, the victorious and glorious moments and the most downdowndown times. From the kid who cried when the keys fell into the piano to someone who wants to lead/stay on in the cca forever. From no achievements to many achievements. From a school life that I'm not proud of, to one that is filled with the happiest moments and that I look foward to everyday. From nothing, to everything. An individual player, to a team. And then hear the ODP say "Look how the kids have grown!" EL is everything to me. It's probably what keeps me going even if everything seems to have gone oh-so-wrong! R.O.D was a blast. We watched the batches graduate one after another, and now, its us. The ones being kept from all the surprises, restricted to go into ROD venue, and the main attention. This is where anxiety comes in. haa. Yea, and 30 minutes before ROD even began. We were rushing through speech and video. Running up and down, up and down, and worse still, things had to crop up at the wrong time, but we were always so lucky to have been saved by nice people in the school. 10 mins after ROD began, our video was finally done. Honestly, everything had been so last minute. The truth is that, we were too relaxed. haha! When I rushed into the room, still panicking about programmes missing, I got sprayed all over by crazyribbons and a party popper that popped right onto my face by the hyperactive timothy. *ouch ouch ouch* all the way, to the seat. cool! every chair was attached to a balloon, with names on it. and mine was pink. Thanks! the programmes were damn cool. esp that touching powerpoint. and the songs? "where is the love", that "music make me lose control" thing, almost scared me off cos I really dread that song, but the programme made it good. and my favourite "hollaback girl!!". YAY! The games, prize giving, and followed by Sec4 video. Guess what. Yea, the curse on qizhi backfired, the "hope you get a screwed ROD" note. haha. The sound from the video, GONE-. OH-OH, technical error! panicked. called from help all the way from level4. the crew came down to help, and really have to thank those boys for getting the sound system back on for us. meanwhile, we had wasted time by doing cheers. sorry, but I really forgot the cheer lyrics (the one at camp), where I so went out of tune cause of all the shoutings. but I was surprised and touch to hear 1/3 of the population continuing the cheer for me, although the words were also screwed and messed, but it was appreciated. wahaha. the video came on so well. it totally rocked. the interviews and the sad parts. was not perfect although, 2 full days to edit it, thats all we had. ok, then came the speech finally, went alittle too fast, just wanna get over it because i don't want to cry. miss armstrong triggered her emotions and then the tears just came flowing from her. wow, jeremiah could make her cry, brilliant! bino as usual, escaped when he was on popular demand. freddy as candid as ever. james, unlike his reluctant oldself today, was especially high, and robin, kind enough to come, i don't know what to say, but fortunately they were smart enough to have prepared enough presents. then, half the party ended, and I have to say, the decorations were bloody cool and nice! good job man! had the last celebrations in the canteen, the food and the huge cake, and excuse me to (miss armstrong, timothy, and the ODPs) "it's not me and jeremiah's wedding cake". thankyou. and in time to come, the whole ROD ended, went back to the room to keep all the presents and balloons, left school at 7.45pm with the kids. stayed over at TCC til 10pm, talked about the long 4 years and the new committee. It's always hard to say goodbye. I've just handed over my presidential role, and I will miss working with my fellow mates most and the fun timess! BUT, we'll still have fun and its not the final stop. thank you to all for the hard work and preparations, ROD totally rocked. will remember 5 aug for as long as i can! hope the new committee 06` will work well and bring EL to greater heights. work hard and rule them all!` PS: timothy although annoying, but was so kind enough to send us to the busstop and pleaded with some unfeeling cca to open the door. and andrew, sorry for leaving you in school, your scouts meeting was too long. haha!
